In-person counselling or divorce coaching sessions take place in a private consulting room at the Hawkins Family Law office in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes. Sessions can also be held remotely over secure voice or video call.

A highly experienced and well-qualified psychotherapist, Emma Chamberlain has a degree in Psychology, a PGDip in Research Methods, an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy, is professionally qualified in life coaching, and specialises in separation and divorce.

Emma has worked extensively as a counsellor for MIND – the UK’s leading mental health charity – and is an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). She has a research background and has been working as a counsellor and divorce coach for clients who are getting divorced or who are separated for over ten years.

As part of our continued commitment to be able to offer counselling and additional emotional support we have recently started working with a second counsellor, Dirk Griffin. Registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Dirk has been a Counsellor for nearly ten years. In that time, he has grown his own private practice and worked at a SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health) secondary school supporting students, staff and families.

Both Emma and Dirk work with clients to build a real understanding of the person and their challenges and focus on achieving real and sustainable change. They have extensive experience of working with clients who are experiencing a wide range of issues, including:
